Previously, Interspire would need to deploy numerous instances of traditional email delivery software to scale their service or to separate delivery between customers across their universe of IP addresses. Among the technical features that were most appealing to Interspire were VirtualMTAs. VirtualMTAs also enhance deliverability by offering highly precise mailing delivery control with options to enable or disable email authentication methods such as DKIM/Domain Keys, and also to configure granular delivery rate shaping parameters and priorities on a per domain and/or per email stream basis.

Chris adds, “During the evaluation period implementation of PowerMTA™, we noticed a sharp decrease in the amount of time we needed to spend managing our deliverability by leveraging the ‘automatic backoff mode’ and rate limiting options to ensure we did not overload the receiving SMTP servers.”

PowerMTA was the first to offer automatic, real time delivery modifications based on remote ISP responses, which is just one of the many inline features that is widely used today by ESPs and corporate clients alike. It permits Interspire to leverage the speed of deliverability for email campaigns scheduled by its clients, adapt in real time to better comply with ISP policies, and enables future expansion of their email marketing initiatives to manage larger volumes of email.

Interspire evaluated other MTAs (Message Transfer Agents) in the marketplace but found that choosing a brand other than PowerMTA would not only be much more expensive, but also require a complete overhaul of their existing digital infrastructure.
